Process Operator
Natara is a global manufacturing business with two sites in the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Process Operator to join our team. In this role, you will follow process work instructions and standard operating procedures, completing all required documentation accurately. You will also be responsible for identifying and responding to issues as they arise, reporting them promptly to your supervisor to help minimise any impact on safety, product quality, and the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- To have read and understood the company safety policy and ensure the safe operation of the plant and designated areas to comply with the objectives of the policy
- To ensure designated areas are maintained in a clean and safe working condition
- To ensure that all prescribed safety clothing and equipment is used correctly and is maintained in a clean condition and good working order
- To report all incidents and unsafe conditions immediately and contribute to investigations and follow-up actions as and when necessary
- To understand and ensure compliance to the company’s environmental and waste policy, minimising the environmental impact of chemical manufacture and associated activities
- To ensure that waste generated from manufacturing is managed and disposed of in compliance with company policy
- To ensure the efficient processing of products in relation to raw materials, labour, plant occupancy and plant utilisation in a safe manner
- To ensure that the designated plant is maintained in a safe and operational manner by liaison with maintenance
- To ensure that the production plan is followed whilst on shift, modifying it if necessary only after consultation with the Shift Supervisor/ Production management and/or planning
- To be accountable for the full and comprehensive recording of process information and adherence to process work instructions
- To maintain and set good housekeeping standards within the designated areas whilst on shift
- To monitor processing for non-conformances and to report such to the Shift Supervisor. Be accountable for variances against standard yields and times
- To train new and existing operators in the operation of the plant in specific areas where required
- To be involved in the documentation, development and scale-up of new processes from the R&D and Process Support departments
- To ensure the safe and complete handover of the designated areas to the incoming shift
- To ensure that quality standards as defined by the company standard are adhered to and championed as necessary
- Work flexibly within the above guidelines and carry out any other duties as may be required.
- Pay: £27,598.00 per year plus shift allowance!
